Child Safety Resources

Here you will be taken to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website where you can search for recalls. The recall search option is available for vehicle recalls, car seats, equpiment, and tires.

Car Seat Recommendations
This will take you to a NHTSA document outlining the car seat appropirate for your child's age.

Safe Kids
Here you will find information regrading child passenger safety. This site allows you to search for car seat safety events in your area, child passenger technicians in your area, and also gives you the ability to search child safety laws in your state.

Infant Swimming Resource
ISR is a reousrce for kids to learn water survival skills. The program teaches kiddos how to float, swim, breathe, and hold their breath in the case of an emergency. On this website you can find information about ISR and search for instructors in your area.
Feeding Resources (Breast and Bottle)

With the uncertainty surrounding the formula shortage we've attached a resource from the Arizona Department of Health Services which provides a list of alternatives to the brands commonly found in stores. International Breastfeeding Centre
This resource takes you to the International Breastfeeding Centre website. Here you will find a variety of topics and information to best educate yourself and your family about breastfeeding, complications, and common obstacles. Breastfeeding in the First Hour
Breastfeeding in the first hour is important. Knowing what a good latch is, how it should feel, and what to do in the first hour can help to ensure your breastfeeding journey starts out on the right foot. This link will take you to the Droplets website where information and videos can be found about breastfeeding within the first hour.There are also resources related to latch, support, hand expression, and pumps. Medication and Breastfeeding Compatibility
Need help determing whether a medicaiton is safe for you to take while breastfeeding? E-Lactancia is a website that can be used in mulptiple languages to help determine if a medication is safe for breastfeeding mothers. CDC Storage Guidelines
Using the link below youll will navigate the CDC website where you will find information regarding safe storage and usage guidelines for breastmilk. As mothers we want to ensure our liquid gold is protected and every drop is used. Revew the guidelines to be sure your milk is being stored and used in an appropriate timeframe for your little one.
